iRest (Integrative Restoration) is a contemporary meditative process developed by psychologist Richard Miller, PhD, based on the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra (the sleep of the yogi – conscious and aware, yet resting deeply). Most participants lie down for this process with a bolster under their knees, although it can also be done in a sitting position.
Hannah Caratti, LMFT, has trained directly with iRest founder, Richard Miller, Ph.D. and utilized this practice in the weekly meditation group that she offered from 2009 through February, 2020.
