As you may know, Laura Strom, LMFT, became our new CAMFT President, as of June 1, 2015.

You may also know that on May 27th, six of the twelve CAMFT Board Members voted for a Resolution that was passed to ask her to step down prior to June 1st, rather than fulfill her role as CAMFT President.

We admire Laura’s courage in stepping forward, rather than stepping down, as she continues to protect the interests and address the needs of CAMFT’s membership.

In contrast to the accusations against her, we have found Laura to be sincere, capable, and unselfish in her tireless efforts to support the unique interests of MFTs and pre-licensed therapists in Sonoma County and throughout California.

Please join us in once again voting for Laura Strom as president of CAMFT.

I encourage you to send this message to your colleagues throughout the state of California so that we can join together in supporting Laura's continuing presence as CAMFT President.... Reminding CAMFT board members that we chose her for good reason and we stand by our choice.
